I thought it best for the community to discuss strategies employed every once a while when there's a major shift in the meta gameplay and with the impending arrival or the Dash, one can only wait with bated breath what the Korean bots would bring into play.
These days, I open with an MR/LR too in hopes of softening up other RDBs before deploying brawlers for actual combat. Pre 3.0 update I was using a leadhose griffin to good effect. The proximity detonation brought back RDBs in droves so it's the gunship griffs/RDBs too for me these days. Adding to the fact that griffs help in capping beacons.
Brawlers come next as I determine whether to go for center or flanking maneuvers. That which includes a Lance/Rhino. Also found that the survivability of the Lance without an Ancile falls far short of expected performance. Wonder how Stew does it...
Will usually bring out my other MR/LR for clean up of the battlefield depending on the situation.
Pretty standard hangar with the current gameplay - 2x MR/LR + 3x LR.
The popularity of RDBs has also widen the scope of killing grounds on large maps. I've been finding myself venturing away from the center beacon in Yaman for instance to the outskirts of the map just trying to get an angle on Reds. Same may apply to Canyon/SF.
Not much difference in smaller maps like PP/Moon (not that I encounter these maps often anyway no thanks to leavers).
Ancilots are still very viablr in Medium ones like Shenzhen and Dead City. Not much to comment other than whoever has the biggest balls to grab center gains the most.
That's all off the top of my head for now. Will check back again if anything new comes up.
