This has happened a few times too many. I'll at least cap two or more beacons. Then at the end of the match it shows I capped less. At first I thought it was just me mistaking. So I started paying more attention to my beacon caps. Then noticed it for sure. Two times I can recall clearly are canyon I capped two and showed one. Then today at dead city, I capped two but it showed one at the stats screen after game.
It's not a super big deal but it can rob you on gold. Plus it leaves me to wonder. If the game can't even count my capped beacons. What else is it messing up on?

Personally I believe that the "joined cap" when 2 people cap the same is blarney.

Changing a Beacon from Red to Blue, only counts as a single capture. Could that be a reason for the disparity?

Actually no, I believe there is a problem. I'm happy to see this thread, because I'd started to come to the same conclusion, but was assuming my head was at fault. But it is something I've been more and more aware of in the last few days.
So yes, I've had the same experience. And I tend to focus a lot on beacon captures to begin with!

The one thing that I have noticed is that you need to be a lot closer to the Beacon now to change it. I miss a lot of Beacons with teammates that way.

If you capping most beacons than your teammates you got 5 golds.
