What does LQ stand for?: The Leaver's Queue. Also referred to as the Leaver Pool by Pixonic or the Tanker League by some players.
What is the LQ?: A separate server (or queue) populated by player accounts that Pixonic has flagged for "bad behavior"
How can you tell that you are in the LQ?:
1) You see multiple players with zero damage scores on the match summary sheet.
2) You see Private/Bronze League players in the same match as Expert/Master/Champion League
ii) check this by click on player names on the match summary sheet.
How did I get placed into the LQ?: When your account accumulates approximately 20 flags you will be sent the LQ.
Why did my account get flagged?: The following behaviors will all result in Pixonic flagging your account.
1) Skipping Maps
2) Pushing the LEAVE button before all your bots have been destroyed
3) Scoring Zero damage in a match (yes an all beacon capping hangar still generates flags)
How do I get out of the LQ? Refrain from engaging in behaviors that generate account flags. (see previous)
a) you can accumulate an unlimited number of flags, so it may take a long time to clear them all.
b) think of it as the following:
i) An account starts at zero flags
ii) Your flag count never goes lower than zero.
iii) You enter the LQ at approximately 20 flags.
iv) Your flag count can rise infinitely
v) every game played "legitimately" removes only 1/2 of a flag.
note) when hovering on the edge of the LQ, it takes 10 map skips to enter the LQ, and 20 matches to get back out.
BENEFITS of playing in the LQ:
1) Matches are faster.
a) Many players have hangers with less than 5 slots
b) Often times 2-6 players will not drop a single bot into the match
c) About half the players in any match will have low level bots and weapons
2) Silver and Gold rewards are the same and the Regular Queue
a) Pixonic has spread rumors that rewards will be decrease with the next update.
b) Pixonic has been doing this for the past 5 updates, but rewards have remain unchanged
3) Clearing daily tasks is quicker
a) Clearing the Light & Medium bot tasks are actually achievable
b) Less shielded bots are seen in the LQ, meaning more damage/silver per minute spent in battle.
4) Fast bots (light & medium) are still viable. These bots are the most fun to pilot.
5) Agressive gameplay
a) the best players in the LQ try for both top damage and top beacons in every match.
b) the only campers are lower level and easily killed or ignored.
c) hiding behind cover to defend a beacon or just wait for teammates to join you is not a viable strategy for winning max gold
6) It is easy to achieve Champion League with solo play, and clear all the gold out of the league ladder.
Recommendations:
1) If your hangar is under level 9, you are probably better off staying in Silver/Gold League in the normal queue.
2) You can be successful with just a couple max level bots even if the rest of you hangar is under-leveled.
a) Plasma Gary at level 12 is great in the LQ if piloted expertly
b) Orkan Rogatka is also fantastic in the LQ at level 11 or 12.
3) It is still profitable to "tank" while in the LQ
a) The Match Maker still tries to assemble even squads in the LQ based off of combined league score
i) Champion League players league score count differently. Every point over 5000 only counts as 1/10th of a point
b) If you are Silver League with Maxed gear in LQ, your team will usually have an extra champion level player when compared to the red team. This almost guarantees a win, but may decrease the odds you can get top damage.
