A few times I have encountered Players using Aphids. Most notably the Aphid/Patton.
They are strong weapons, especially when used in serial. I've been hit by Aphid/Pattons all the way up to L12 (weapon-wise) and been dang near disabled.
However, there is one Player that I have noted which uses 4×Aphids but the levels are 10/10/9/10. This particular Player is, quite literally, able to one-shot me from full armour.
I'm wondering if this is a Bug, having to do with the one Aphid being L9. Because since I've upgraded my Tulumbas to L9, my damage output has decreased.
Are weapons "bugged" at L9?

You are probably onto something here. Remember the lvl9 pin fiasco? Did you try reporting the player to Pixonic?

I wasn't around for the Pin/Zeus Bugs. But I have noticed a series of bizzar circumstances when Weapons reach L9. These "circumstances" alleviate themselves when I upgrade past or prior to L9.
I'll take a screenshot of the Player next time I encounter him/her. If I knew if I was going to war with them, I'd record it, too. But no in-game Lobby makes that moot lol
I'll send a report to Pixonic outlining my predicament ..

I didn't see this bug before my aphids work fine. Try to report this bug to Pixonic.

Highly doubt that. As a 4x lvl10 Aphid user myself, I'm not seeing anything unusual from 9 to 10.
Besides, the recent updates fixed the Aphid trajectory/on Leo bugs. Unlikely of Pix to oversee the dmg issue you highlighted.

Something is amiss, it maybe a Server issue but my Tulumbas are lower powered, not numerically but gameplay-wise. I dunno maybe it's just me lol |

I dunno maybe it's just me lol . I believe I saw something a few days back, maybe on the Reddit forum, about Tulu's being out of kilter. I'll see if I can find that ...... Also, I'm still seeing that intermittent bug on my Griff where upon spawning the right Pin starts automatically firing until I tap it a couple times. |

OK .. So, I just played 5 Matches and I don't think it's a Bug. Aphids are doing +60k damage pretty consistently from multiple Opponents across the board.
Pixonic said they upped the damage by 5% - BS! more like 25%! 2 hits take out most mecha. They're more powerful than Orkans with greater range and a faster reload.
I don't care what numbers Pixonic posts, watching my armour go from 88k to 24k - in one hit - is proof enough.
Honestly, the game is becoming boring with weapons, all weapons, this powerful.

I pay, too - out the a$$ for Docs' and Orkans plus Au - and I don't get any love. But Pixonic also said that, "...it's more inline with where we think a weapon like this should be."
No idea where they want it but smashing mecha in a matter of seconds, is too powerful.
.. and don't get me started on the Gekkos'. 90k in 3 seconds is beyond belief -

To be honest, I feel the same way. The weapons are way too strong and it's far easier to mech-out your Opponents than it is to Beacon-run. This has made even Domination more like Death Match. Prior to 3.1.0, it was borderline but still playable and still fun. 3.1.0 has really hurt the gameplay. I also noticed that more and more often I'm placed on overseas Servers that create enormous amoust of lagg. My weapons do little damage, sometimes none at all, and my Opponents seem to do double damage - Hackers? - Maybe .. wouldn't doubt that but it's like every other Match is destined to Lose at -22 no less. I've dropped more than 200 Points. I keep hoping Pixonic will revamp or recind the Buff/Nerf's but hope is fading. I want the game and Pixonic to succeed but they need to reevaluate the numbers they collect and gain a fresh perspective. Here's Beers and Cheers to hoping .. |

Aphids used to be my favorite weapon but once I got to Gold tier something has gone incredibly wrong. Like, they're not doing as much damage as they used to the arc they take is really unpredictable.

Well, you need to jump into a Match with me and your Aphids will do +60k lol. Also, aim for a corner of cover, if you can. It'll still do full damage up to 20m. |
