Beacon Rush: Here to stay?

I'm fine with it staying. I hope it does. But I'm curious why there is a countdown in days for it. 

They're just like Taco Bell. Just keep coming out with new shit. Then when they finally put out something people love, it's a "limited time" item and then it's gone!

a question: will or should people be given the choice of Domination and Beacon rush mode in the future, or will (should) the game mode randomly selected just like maps?

if one game mode is exceedingly popular, for example, if people find BR mode brings generally more silver, than the player pool chosing the other mode will shrink and in turn MM may be affected, which will further make the less popular mode even less popular.

also people will start building hangers focusing on one of the modes, if they were given the choice. ultimately only one game mode may survive.

Pixonic needs to be careful here. I think having the MM randomize is good, gets Players doing both.

But mijapi300 has a good point about "specialized Hangars." It could seriously disadvantage certain Players and the fallout would loud and swift.

It might be best if Pixonic played it safe and kept them seperate.

Sad fact of the matter is someone somewhere is going to complain loud and constantly no matter what Pix does or how.
I may be a little biast here (who isn't right?) but probably the most EQUITABLE, least problematic approach would be pure randomisation. With or without the option to specialise hangars for game modes...
Now I certainly understand wanting to build the best possible hangar for the mode in question, but there is a certain art to building one that is capable of adapting and performing adequately to either / both. Of course I say adequate because getting that right almost by definition means it won't be the best at either, well, either. But it then becomes a question of risk vs. reaward and so-on, etcetera - just as things stand now with regarda catering for the different maps... In other words, you either have a hanger that excels at some maps and sucks at others, or one that is capable enough on all.

Now I said biast earlier because, full disclosure, I'm that kind of player already... I love to build a solution that offers the greatest adaptability and can then handle all possible results well enough. So I already appreciate this kind of approach.
And I know this perspective isn't a particularly popular one. But, well, I suppose we'll see how this all shakes out eventually one way or another... And, honestly, one way or another Pix is likely to forge ahead with whatever they wanna do anyways, and there is going to be a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth, no matter how things are handled.

It's currently temporary but I see no reason why they wouldn't ultimately keep it. Variety of choice for gamers is always a positive thing imo.

Yes you are correct.  Beacon Rush is the McRib of game modes.
