Soooo what got everyone hooked on War Robots?
For me it was just looking in the app store for new games. It looked interesting. Played a few and was slowly hooked. Didnt like how slow the bot move at first. But got used to it over time. Im glad some have got a speed buff recently.
But for some reason I cant seem to get any of my real life friends to play the game even though I like it. Good thing I can talk to people online that like this game. I know my GF is sick of hearing about it.

I always loved giant robots and Robotech is how I view giant mecha should be. I tried other games but they were just 'Robots. WR is a mecha (piloted) robot.
So, to me WR is about as close to Robotech-style as I could find.

Been a huge Battletech/MechWarrior fan my whole life.
Used to play a game called Metal Wars 3(don't bother it's terrible), and got an app suggestion for Walkin War Robots cause of that.
So here I am.

Loved playing the old Armored core games on ps1 25 years ago. This game looked a lot like it. And while you can't configure the bot sensors and engines and legs, etc, it has the multiplayer fun that the old AC games lacked.
Now I really just keep playing to run into you fine people on abandoned streets or snow covered fields and shoot you.

It showed up as one of those annoying ads on Facebook. Every day. For like two months. One day I was finally bored enough to try it. Aaaaand now I'm hooked on crack cocaine.

I was also a huge fan of Gundam, Macross (Japanese original title for Robotech), and similar stuff, since middle school. and one day I saw the ad from another stupid online game I have been playing at that time. I stopped all other games and started playing only this one.

Paps, Once again we show our age. It started for me with MechWarrior. It truely defined my gaming experience. I was a founder with MWO but the kids made it impossible to play when they were born. So mobile became the practical option. I found it a couple years ago but my phone at the time was shit and wouldn't support it. D/L it once i upgraded. Now everyone in the house has a WR account. :-) |

I saw it in the play store and gave it a try. I was hooked on my first try.
The multiplayer aspect and variety of options are probably what I like best. Plus I like shooting games.

My 3 yr old son and I were sitting on the couch and he's playing a game on his phone. I think I turned and looked at the sound of punishers going off and I looked to see what he was playing. After a minute I asked " Michael, are you playing against real people?" His reply... "No dad, they're robots"
Started playing.

I heard war robots from my friend and start playing it at Chinese new year 2017, I was noob at first time just looking on store and watch some cool robots and even new robots (Wild Bunch) during event make me want to buy those robots and play War Robots. I do some mistake when first time reach level 20, I spend all my 1000 golds for WSP just because want to buy fujin and didn't use it for 4th slot first.

I was kidnapped and forced into a North Korean game currency sweatshop. I was the personal points farmer for Kim Dong Ills 3rd cousins sisters BFF. I escaped, but it haunts me.
